==Burner==
The burner can burn any solid fuel to generate heat. The fuel will be converted into HU and stored in the burner and released to the machine above it according to the limited power rate <s>(gt burner)</s>.

The burner has no gui, and the fuel and HU value inside can be seen by wearing goggles, where 10HU=1 steam.

Right-click the burner with the fuel in hand to fill it in, and click it with an empty hand to take out all the fuel inside. You can also use a hopper to automate.

You can stop burning fuel by using a redstone signal, but the existing HU will continue to be released.

Advanced burners tend to burn more efficiently, ie. more energy efficient.

If you wear goggles, you can press shift on the burner item to view its parameters.

'''Standing on it while it is active will cause you to be burned!'''
==Boiler==
Boilers can receive heat from all directions (but currently only from below since the burner only outputs upwards).

Steam is generated based on input heat and water, water consumption is rounded up, and steam production is generated according to input HU.

The only difference between different boilers is the input power, which means that mismatched combustion chambers can also burn boilers, and there will be nothing wrong <s>(unlike GT boilers will explode)</s>, but excess HU will be lost.

In addition, the internal steam storage percentage can be obtained with the redstone comparator, which can be used to design automated setups.

If the boiler is full, excess steam is vented, emitting steam particles and hissing.

If you wear goggles, you can press shift on the boiler item to view its parameters.

'''Standing on it while it is active will cause you to be burned!'''
==Steam Engine==
The steam engine is the only device that can generate '''a lot''' of stress, and the engine must be used with a flywheel of the same class.

Wear goggles to see its working status and steam reserves.

You need a constant supply of steam for it to work, and if the steam supply is sufficient, it will start working properly after a few seconds of preheating. It is recommended to be used with boilers and combustion chambers of the same type.

If you wear goggles, you can press shift on the boiler item to view its parameters.

ZoraWaff：Major changes to grammar in the Edit Guide

We hope we can provide a basic guide for general players who are not familiar with wiki editing.

We assume everyone uses '''Visual Editor''', so we won't talk about source.

==Begin Your Tutorials==
Tutorials that you wish to share should be published as a seperate '''Page''', any user can create new page.

===Title===
For easier searching and managing, following these rules is recommended:
* Be concise, without being too short worded. '''DO NOT USE ONE WORD TITLES''' (such as "copper" or "start")<u> titles</u>. This is because this wiki is for all teammoeg modpacks, this may cause confusion for readers.
** If you can't think of any other titles, describe what modpack you are writing tutorials for is far better, such as "Getting Copper in TWR", "First day in Winter".
* Titles should not contain : or /
* It should at least look like a tutorial, not a question.

===Create a page===
Search your title in the searchbox.
If nothing comes up in the results, you can click "Create this page" to start on your page. Also, go to [[Special:EditPage|this page]]([[Special:EditPage]]). If the page is not yet created, it will tell you the page is being created.

===Link to your page===
Now that you have finished your tutorial, it's time to let others know.

[[Talk:The Winter Rescue]] is the hub for tutorials, you are encouraged to put your page on it, all you need to do is edit the source of a section and add links: <code><nowiki>[[Your Page Title]]</nowiki></code> into it.

You don't need to bother with anything else, moderators and developers will take care of anything else.

==Useful TWR Templates==

====TWRBanner/en====
====TWRTutorValidity/en====
{{TWRTutorValidity/en}}
This template is to mark the modpack version of your tutorial.
Parameters:
0: Your modpack version

====devInvolved/en====
{{devInvolved/en}}
To get your tutorial authorized by the modpack developers. (('''Only For Developers))'''
You may go to our discord channel to ask for this.

{{TWRBanner/en}}{{devInvolved/en|written}}{{TWRTutorValidity/en|0.5.0}}
==Basis for Temperature==
There are three different major temperature systems in the game.
*[[File:item_alcohol_air_thermometer.png|32px]] '''Air Temperature''' and '''Environment temperature''' are provided by the temperature orb above the experience bar. In the wild, it can become {{tmpr|-10}}or even lower.
*[[File:item_mercury_body_thermometer.png|32px]] '''Body Temperature''': The standard value is {{tmpr|37}}. It is no longer displayed on the HUD as of version 0.4, but there are other methods to learn about it:
**Indirectly displayed by <abbr title="See below">'''Temperature bar'''</abbr>.
**Can be tested with the '''body thermometer[[File:item_mercury_body_thermometer.png|32px]]'''.
*[[File:item_soil_thermometer.png|32px]] '''Soil temperature''': Decides whether plants and animals can live, can be checked with the '''Soil Thermometer. [[File:item_soil_thermometer.png|32px]]'''.
==Factors effects air temperature==
Air temperature is affected by a few things:
*Surrounding blocks
*When exposed to the sky:
**Time
**Weather
**Light
*Biome
*Climate events
*Generator
*World
*Being on fire
This only affects body temperature and the temperature orb.
===Climate events===
There are two kinds of climate events: cold periods and warm periods. In cold periods, temperature can go as low as🌡️ '''-41''' ℃, and in warm periods it can go no higher than 🌡️ '''-1''' ℃. This means players should be aware of the temperature forecast and make corresponding efforts to adjust to the varying temperatures.
===Surrounding Blocks===
All blocks can reflect heat. And any blocks with temperature can emit or absorb heat.
==Hypothermia and Hyperthermia==
When the body temperature becomes lower than 🌡️ '''36.5''' ℃or higher than 🌡️ '''37.5''' ℃, the experience bar will change to either a cyan or an orange color. As for temperatures lower than 🌡️ '''36''' ℃ or higher than 🌡️ '''38''' ℃, the experience bar gradually fills up and will cause negative effects. When body temperature becomes lower than 🌡️ '''35''' ℃or higher than 🌡️ '''39''' ℃, the bar will change to red causing the player to begin taking damage.

'''Hypothermia''' is divided into several states:
*Slight hypothermia :{{TRange|35|36}}
*Mild hypothermia :{{TRange|34|35}}
*Medium hypothermia :{{TRange|32|34}}
*Extreme hypothermia :Lower than{{Tmpr|32}}
Upon reaching each stage of '''Hypothermia''' the player will be begin recieving increasingly negative effects:

* Mining Fatigue and Hypothermia (Although the player will recieve no hypothermia damage.)
* Mining Fatigue, Hypothermia I and Nasuea II (Player will recieve a slight amount of hypothermia damage.)
* Mining Fatigue, Hypothermia II and Nasuea II (Player will recieve increased hypothermia damage.)
* Mining Fatigue, Hypothermia III and Nasuea III (Player will begin recieving heavy amounts of hypothermia damage.) '''--YOU SHOULD PROBABLY FIX THIS BEFORE YOU DIE--'''

'''Hyperthermia''' is divided into several states:
*Slightly hyperthermic :{{TRange|38|39}}
*Mildly hyperthermic :{{TRange|39|40}}
*Medium hyperthermic :{{TRange|40|42}}
*Heavily hyperthermic :Higher than{{Tmpr|42}}
'''((Hyperthermia''' works the same as '''Hypothermia''' in terms of negative status effects.))

At the same time, if the player has a temperature change rate higher than{{DeltaT|0.2|unit=s}}, they would recive 1 corresponding damage for each extra {{DeltaT|0.1|unit=s}}.
==Ways to keep your temperature up==
Direct methods:
*Eating hot food
*Drinking hot water +{{DeltaT|0.25|unit=time}}
*<s>Drink steam (not recommended)</s> +{{DeltaT|2|unit=time}}
*Wear heating devices
Indirect methods
*<abbr title="See below">Wear warm clothes</abbr>
*Install inner linings for armor.
*Light a campfire and stay around.
*<s>Set yourself on fire (May cause high damage)</s>
You will have a {{DeltaT|0.1|unit=s}}body temperature natural regeneration. Different clothes have different insulations. Wool ones can keep you away from hypothermia.

Drinking hot water from a thermos or eating hot food is a good method, but you still should wear clothes.

At your base, you can light a campfire and stand around. But take care as to not get grilled.

If possible, wear heating devices. Steam vests can keep you away from cold for about 10 minutes to a few hours. And can easily adjust your temperature from freezing.

If you get too cold, you can always set yourself on fire in an act of desperation.
===Effects for clothes===
{| class="wikitable"
![[File:Kelp lining.png]] Kelp
|12% 14% 16% 10%||52%
|}While being wet or on fire, there are negative impacts on the insulation rate of gear, so be aware.

Inner linings will only replace an armors insulation rate. <s>If you put them on armors with higher insulation rates, it will lowerer the total insulation rate</s>. While wet, kelp linings will have a higher insulation rate than others. So it's better for underwater exploration.

Inner linings have seperate durabilities, mending and unbreaking enchantment does apply to them. Inner linings are vulnerable to explosion and fire damage. Even if you have heavy armor, Inner linings can break due to impact.
==Temperature and Agriculture==
Planting requires correct soil temperature, which cannot be affected by a campfire. Only these factors take effect:
*Biome
*Climate events
*Generator
*World
Players can only modify soil temperature with generators.

Dirt Blocks can only grow grass above {{Tmpr|0}}, or the grass will die.

Trees require a soil temprature above {{Tmpr|-6}}to grow at a decreased rate, and grow normally above {{Tmpr|0}}.

Plants hibernate, the grow under suitable temperatures, under hibernation temperatures, plants would die.

All plants will stop growing above {{Tmpr|50}}, and die from excess heat.
==Temperature and Husbandry==
Though wild animals can live in the cold temperature, Domesticated animals cannot. They require temperatures above {{Tmpr|0}}, or they will receive hypothermia damage.

*Heavily hyperthermic :Higher than{{Tmpr|42}}

*Drinking hot water +{{DeltaT|0.25|unit=time}}
*<s>Drink steam (not recommended)</s> +{{DeltaT|2|unit=time}}
*Wear heating devices

|}While being on wet or on fire, there are negative impacts on the insulation rate of gear, so be aware.

==Temperature and Agriculture==

==Temperature and Husbandry==
Though wild animals can live in the cold temperature, Domesticated animals cannot. They require temperatures above {{Tmpr|0}}, or they will receive hypothermia damage.
