Intro
Because the Rankine MOD is introduced in Winter Rescue, the generation of minerals will be related to the rock formation instead of the Y axis in the original version
So please don't try to use the fishbone mining method or mine tunnels on the same height in winter rescue, try to find ore in natural mines and make good use of prospecting tools

Flawless gems can be broken into ordinary gems (a little more than flawless, depending on the fortune level of the hammer)
The number of items released by the geode jade is related to the fortune level of the hammer
Prospecting Tools
All prospecting tools have an error probability, and the error probability and error performance of different tools are different. The results of multiple explorations at the same position are consistent, but the accuracy rate cannot be improved.
Prospecting Pick
Material | Up and down direction range | North-south range | East-West Range | total range |
---|---|---|---|---|
Copper | 4 spaces down, 3 spaces up | 8 blocks north, 7 blocks south | 8 blocks west, 7 blocks east | 8*16*16 |
iron | 4 spaces down, 3 spaces up | 8 blocks north, 7 blocks south | 8 blocks west, 7 blocks east | 8*16*16 |
steel | 5 spaces down, 4 spaces up | 9 blocks north, 8 blocks south | 9 blocks west, 8 blocks east | 10*18*18 |
The above ranges are centered on the coordinates of the clicked position, excluding the extension from the center.
When mistakes are made, there will be over-reporting, under-reporting or omission of minerals.
Shovel
Material | Depth range |
---|---|
Copper | Down 16-32 |
iron | Down 32-64 |
steel | Down 36-72 |
The shovel has a small horizontal range, but has a large height range. The detection range is centered on the click position and extends horizontally and downwards, reporting minerals and rocks within its range.
The actual exploration depth of the exploration shovel is random within the depth range, and the exploration range of the same position is the same for multiple explorations.
It can not only be used to observe the distribution of underground rocks at the current location for prospecting, but also can directly detect underground ores.
When mistakes are made, some or all minerals may be missed.
Geological Hammer
The Geological Hammer has a detection cube that reports all minerals and their amounts within range.
When mistakes are made, the values of some minerals will be incompletely correct or underreported.
About Rankine's rock generation system (need to know about brushing rocks)
This part of the content can be found in Rankine's book, the picture below shows the content of the book
Main content
Different kinds of rocks are produced when magma and water meet in different situations
Igneous Rock
Flowing magma hits flowing water (magma and water are in the same layer)
Intrusive igneous rocks:
Specific rocks can be generated using additional mineral blocks
Can produce: granite, diorite, gray granite, granodiorite, pyroxene gabbro, anorthosite, red porphyry, purple porphyry.
Extruding Igneous Rock:
Lava flows next to the blue ice on the soul soil (blue ice and soul soil are staggered) to generate random extrusive igneous rocks, and use extra mineral blocks to generate specified rocks
Can generate: andesite, basalt, hornblende andesite, tholeiite, rhyolite, black dacite, red dacite.
Metamorphic Rock
Flowing magma touches water (magma is on top)
Specific rocks can be generated with extra rocks in the occurrence structure
Generates: white marble, black marble, gneiss, mica schist, phyllite, slate, quartzite, glauconite.
Sedimentary Rock
Deploy the sedimentation fan from the water source (the water source must flow more than three blocks in one direction)
Place additional sedimentary rock blocks next to the sedimentary fan to generate the specified rock
Generates: sandstone, red sandstone, tuff limestone, dolomite, chalk, carbonaceous shale, siltstone, quartz sandstone, arkose, mudstone, breccia.
(Sediment Fans are currently unobtainable in Survival)
